What this site is

Mow & Meadow exists because the most important decision in a yard full of cordless tools — which battery platform you commit to — is the one nobody helps you make properly.

Buy a mower and you have chosen a battery. Buy a second tool and you have chosen it again, because switching means writing off packs as well as tools. It is a ten-year commitment made in an afternoon, usually on the strength of which mower was on sale.

So this site compares the systems, not just the machines. We compile every manufacturer's published specifications into one place, convert them into figures that are actually comparable, and check prices every day. That is the whole product.

Who writes it

Sawyer V. — an enthusiast who is genuinely into this stuff. The kind who reads the manual before the reviews, gets irritated when a spec sheet leaves the weight blank, and would rather work out watt-hours per minute than be told a mower is powerful.

No lab coat, no test fleet, no units in the garage. Just the published numbers, the arithmetic, and what they actually mean for your yard.

We are not going to dress that up. There is no decades-long career behind this byline, no certification, no professional standing to appeal to, and no test program. Every one of those would be easy to assert on a web page and impossible for you to verify, which is exactly why so many sites in this category assert them.

What we can offer instead is work you can check. Every specification is linked to the manufacturer document it came from. Every computed number appears with the division that produced it. If we are wrong, the error is visible on the page.

The honest position

The competitors that rank for these searches largely run real test programs. Several bought a dozen mowers, logged a hundred hours and took a decibel meter to them. That is genuine work and we are not going to pretend to have done anything like it.

Units we claim to have tested: 0. Free products accepted: 0. Sponsored placements: 0.

Those are the numbers where zero is the good answer. What sits alongside them is what we did do: 25 products compiled from manufacturer documentation, 38 pages of comparisons and guides, every price checked daily, and the arithmetic published in full. The methodology page sets all of it out, including a section on where we are weakest and which publishers to read when you need hands-on data we cannot honestly provide.

What we refuse to do

  • Claim to have tested anything. Not in a headline, not in a byline, not in the structured data.
  • Invent a credential. No certifications, no "expert panel", no years-of-experience figure, no implied staff.
  • Print a price we have not verified. Where there is no live price, the page says "check price" rather than showing a remembered number.
  • Publish a specification nobody stated. When a manufacturer leaves a figure out, our table says "not published" and stays empty.
  • Fabricate reviews or ratings. There are no customer testimonials on this site because there are no customers. A clean page beats an invented one.
  • Let a commission decide a ranking. Several pages here put a cheaper tool above a more expensive one because the arithmetic said so.

How it is funded

What that funding does not buy is influence over what we recommend. No manufacturer has ever seen a page here before it published, and none ever will.

Corrections

A site built on other people's published numbers will occasionally transcribe one wrong, and manufacturers revise specifications without announcement. If you find an error — a mistyped figure, a broken calculation, a spec that has changed — tell us and we will fix it and mark the correction.
