Terms of service

The rules that apply to using this site, kept as short as they can honestly be.

By using Mow & Meadow you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site. Last updated 3 September 2026.

1. What this site is

Mow & Meadow publishes comparisons, guides and recommendations about outdoor power equipment. It is editorial content and general information. It is not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for the operator's manual of any product you own.

We have not tested any of the products described on this site. Every specification is compiled from manufacturer documentation and every computed figure is arithmetic performed on those published numbers. Our methodology page sets out exactly what that means and where it leaves us weakest.

2. Accuracy

We take considerable care with figures and cite the source of every one. Even so:

  • Manufacturers revise specifications without announcement.
  • Transcription errors are possible and we correct them when found.
  • Prices change constantly; ours carry the date they were verified.
  • Manufacturer performance claims are made by manufacturers under their own test conditions, and we present them as such.

Content is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy or completeness. Always confirm specifications on the manufacturer's own current product page and the price at the retailer before you buy. Found an error? We want to hear about it.

3. Safety

Some of the equipment discussed here — chainsaws, pole saws, mowers, pressure washers — can cause serious injury. Anything on this site about safe use is general guidance and does not replace the manufacturer's instructions, applicable regulations or professional training.

You are responsible for operating equipment safely, wearing appropriate protective gear, and following the manual for your specific machine. If a job is beyond your experience, hire someone.

4. Affiliate relationships

This site earns affiliate commission on qualifying purchases made through its links, at no additional cost to you. Full detail is on the affiliate disclosure page. Purchases are transactions between you and the retailer; we are not a party to them and have no role in fulfillment, returns, warranty or support.

5. Intellectual property

The text, layout, tables and original calculations on this site are the property of Mow & Meadow. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial portions, or reproduce the site's structure or content, without written permission.

Product names, model numbers and brand names belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification and comparison. Their use does not imply any endorsement of this site by those companies, or of those companies by this site.

6. External links

We link to manufacturer pages so you can verify our figures, and to retailers so you can buy. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mow & Meadow is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or from any purchase decision made in reliance on it, including loss arising from errors, omissions or outdated information.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the site for any unlawful purpose.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with, overload or gain unauthorized access to it.
  • Do not scrape the site at volume or republish it in bulk.
  • Do not misrepresent our content or attribute claims to us that we did not make.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page changes when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
