Battery Platforms
The Greenworks platforms: four battery families wearing one brand
The most complete spec sheets in the category, the fastest published charging, the longest battery warranty -- and four incompatible voltages to get wrong.
Affiliate disclosure: we earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which product we rank first — here is how we're funded.

We have not tested these units. Every spec on this page comes from the manufacturer's own documentation and is linked to it. Every computed figure is arithmetic you can redo. Prices are checked daily — last verified January 1, 1970. Here is exactly how we pick.
Greenworks is the most frustrating brand in this category to recommend, because on almost every measure of transparency it is the best one here — and its product structure contains the single most expensive trap in cordless yard tools.
The trap, stated first
Our own registry demonstrates it in miniature. Five Greenworks tools, three incompatible voltage lines.
| Tool | Voltage line | Energy in the kit | Shares packs with |
|---|---|---|---|
| LM2108S 21 in self-propelled mower | 80V | 320Wh (4.0Ah) | The 80V blower and trimmer |
| 730 CFM axial blower | 80V | 200Wh (2.5Ah) | The 80V mower and trimmer |
| ST80L210 16 in trimmer | 80V | 160Wh (2.0Ah) | The 80V mower and blower |
| 3000 PSI pressure washer | 60V | Tool only | Nothing else in our registry |
| LM2054 20 in push mower | 40V | 160Wh (4.0Ah) | Nothing else in our registry |
From Greenworks' own product pages, checked 3 September 2026. Greenworks sells more tools per line than we hold cited specs for.
Where Greenworks is genuinely the best in the category
Once you are inside a voltage, the brand does something no competitor does: it tells you what the machine is.
| Published spec | Greenworks | EGO | Ryobi | Toro | Kobalt |

| Blade speed (RPM) | Yes, 3200 | No | No | No | No |
| Weight | Yes, 57.5 and 75 lb | No | No | Yes, 66 lb | No |

Compiled from each brand's own product pages for the models in our registry, checked 3 September 2026.
Five rows where Greenworks publishes and most of the field does not. If you shop by checking claims rather than trusting them, this is the brand that lets you.

The fastest published charging in our registry
That last line is the honest caveat. Fast charging is an 80V feature, not a Greenworks feature. The 40V push mower's 120-minute recharge is three times the 80V mower's, on a pack half the size.

The four-year battery term
On the component that actually ends a cordless tool's life, Greenworks warrants longer than anyone else we track.
| Product | Tool warranty | Battery warranty |
|---|---|---|
| LM2108S (80V mower) | 4 years | 4 years |
| 80V 730 CFM blower | 4 years | 4 years |
| ST80L210 (80V trimmer) | 3 years | 4 years |
| LM2054 (40V push mower) | 3 years | 3 years |
| EGO, for comparison | 5 years | 3 years |
From the manufacturers' own product pages, checked 3 September 2026. The full cross-brand comparison is in warranty comparison.
Note the trimmer row: three years on the tool and four on the battery, which is the reverse of the usual shape and unusually generous on the expensive part.

Where it is weak
- Kit packs sized to the claim. The 80V mower ships 320Wh, claims 33 minutes and is rated to half an acre. Those three only reconcile with a second battery.
- The highest published draw of any mower we hold. 9.7 watt-hours a minute on the LM2108S, against 4.0 on the 40V push mower.
- 75 lb. The heaviest published mower weight in our registry, and Greenworks is the brand honest enough to print it.
- No noise figure on the blower. The 730 CFM 80V publishes none, where Ryobi publishes 57 dB at the same airflow.
- Four voltages. Everything above assumes you stayed on one.

What we cannot tell you
We have run none of it. Whether the 40-minute recharge claim holds in cold weather, how the 4-in-1 deck compares in practice with EGO's swappable blades, and how service works at year four are outside what a spec sheet answers.
What is settled: the best-documented machines in the category, the fastest published charging on one of its four lines, the longest battery warranty, and a brand structure that punishes anyone who does not read the voltage.
The products discussed
Specs are the manufacturer's own and linked to the page they came from. Prices come from a live daily check; where we have no verified price we say so rather than print a stale one.

The only mower here that publishes motor wattage, blade RPM, weight and an acreage rating -- and the only one whose battery warranty matches its tool warranty.
Published specs
| Model / SKU | LM2108S / 2550402 |
|---|---|
| Deck | 21 in |
| Max blade speed | 3200 RPM |
| Battery included | 80V 4.0Ah |
| Cut height | 1.38-4.0 in, 7 positions |
| Runtime claim | Up to 33 min |
| Weight | 75 lb |
| Rated for | Up to 1/2 acre |
| Warranty | 4-yr tool / 4-yr battery |
Source: 80V 21" 4-in-1 Self-Propelled Lawn Mower (LM2108S), greenworkstools.com
80V x 4.0Ah = 320Wh, using Greenworks' advertised pack voltage.
What the numbers favor
- 4-year battery warranty -- a year longer than EGO's 3-year, on the component that fails first
- Publishes blade RPM, weight and acreage rating; the other two brands publish none of the three
- 40-minute recharge on the included charger, the fastest published here
- 4-in-1 deck adds turbo leaf pickup on top of mulch, bag and side discharge
What they don't
- 320Wh included, the least of the three flagships -- and the 33-minute runtime claim reflects that
- 75 lb is the only published weight here, and it is not light
you want one battery to finish a half-acre without a swap. Greenworks rates the mower for 1/2 acre but claims only 33 minutes on the included pack; those two numbers only reconcile if you buy a second battery.

40 minutes on a 160Wh pack and 57.5 lb to push -- the honest answer for a third of an acre and nothing more.

Source: 40V 20" 4-in-1 Push Lawn Mower (LM2054), greenworkstools.com
40V x 4.0Ah = 160Wh. Note it claims 40 minutes on 160Wh where the 80V flagship claims 33 minutes on 320Wh -- a 20 in deck and no self-propel drive motor is why.
What the numbers favor
- Lightest published weight on this page at 57.5 lb, and the only sub-60 lb mower here
- Claims 40 minutes from 160Wh -- the best published minutes-per-watt-hour of any mower on this page
- Same 3200 RPM blade speed as the 80V flagship
- 4-in-1 deck at the entry price
What they don't
- Push only -- no drive assist on any slope
- 1.2 in minimum cut height is lower than most cool-season lawns should ever be cut
- 120-minute recharge, three times the 80V model's 40 minutes
your lawn is over a third of an acre or has any real slope. Greenworks rates it to 1/3 acre and you will be pushing all 57.5 lb of it up the hill yourself.

Greenworks 80V 730 CFM Axial Blower
Greenworks · Greenworks 80V · Our score 8.3/10
#ad No verified live price right now, so we show none rather than a stale one. How we're funded.
730 CFM from a 5.5 lb tool with a 4-year warranty -- the cheapest published route to real airflow.
Published specs
| Max air volume | 730 CFM |
|---|---|
| Max air speed | 170 MPH |
| Weight | 5.5 lb (tool only) |
| Battery (kit) | 80V 2.5Ah |
| Runtime | Up to 60 min on low |
| Recharge | 40 min |
| Warranty | 4-yr |
Source: 80V 730 CFM Cordless Battery Leaf Blower, greenworkstools.com
80V x 2.5Ah = 200Wh, using Greenworks' advertised pack voltage.
What the numbers favor
- 730 CFM from 5.5 lb -- the best published airflow-per-pound on this page
- 4-year warranty on tool and battery
- 40-minute recharge
- Cruise control and turbo button, so it is not a dead-man trigger for long sessions
What they don't
- 170 MPH is the lowest peak air speed here -- airflow moves volume, speed dislodges wet debris
- Greenworks publishes no noise figure for this tool at all
- 200Wh included is the smallest pack of the blowers here
you own nothing else on Greenworks 80V. A 200Wh pack bought for one blower is an expensive way to start a platform.

#ad No verified live price right now, so we show none rather than a stale one. How we're funded.
7.1 lb bare with a 30-minute recharge and a 4-year battery warranty -- the lightest way onto the 80V platform.
Published specs
| Cutting swath | 16 in |
|---|---|
| Motor | Brushless, 6200 RPM |
| Line | 0.080 in spiral twist dual-line bump feed |
| Battery (kit) | 80V 2.0Ah |
| Runtime claim | Up to 45 min |
| Recharge | 30 min |
| Weight | 7.1 lb without battery |
| Warranty | 3-yr tool / 4-yr battery |
Source: 80V Cordless 16" Brushless String Trimmer (ST80L210), greenworkstools.com
80V x 2.0Ah = 160Wh. 45 minutes from 160Wh is about 3.6Wh per minute, matching the Ryobi almost exactly despite half the pack size.
What the numbers favor
- 7.1 lb bare, the lightest published trimmer weight here
- 30-minute recharge, the fastest on this page
- 4-year battery warranty
- Publishes motor RPM, which neither EGO nor Ryobi does for their trimmers
What they don't
- 0.080 in line is the lightest gauge here -- it will break more often in heavy weeds
- 160Wh included is a small pack for an 80V platform
- Bump feed, not automatic reload
you cut heavy brush or thick weed stems. 0.080 in line is a lawn-edge gauge, not a bramble gauge.

Greenworks 60V 3000 PSI Cordless Pressure Washer
Greenworks · Greenworks 60V · Our score 8.2/10
#ad No verified live price right now, so we show none rather than a stale one. How we're funded.
3000 PSI and 2.0 GPM with no cord, and a published Eco mode that trades pressure for the runtime you actually need.
Published specs
| Max pressure | Up to 3000 PSI |
|---|---|
| Max flow | 2.0 GPM |
| Eco mode | 2200 PSI / 1.0 GPM |
| Runtime | Up to 30 min |
| Power | 60V battery (dual-battery kits available) |
Source: 60V 3000-PSI 2.0 GPM Electric Pressure Washer, greenworkstools.com
What the numbers favor
- Highest published pressure of the two washers here, by nearly 1000 PSI
- No cord -- works anywhere on the property
- Eco mode is published with real numbers (2200 PSI / 1.0 GPM), not just a label
- Shares the Greenworks 60V pack with the rest of that platform
What they don't
- 30 minutes of published runtime against a corded washer's unlimited
- Greenworks publishes several 60V washers at different pressures; check the SKU matches the PSI you are paying for
you wash a driveway twice a year within reach of an outlet. You would be buying 60V packs to solve a problem an extension cord already solves.
