The three flagship cordless blowers in our registry come from three brands, land within 35 CFM of each other, and disagree completely about what a buyer should be told. The specification sheets are more revealing than the airflow numbers.

The airflow gap is smaller than the marketing
Five percent of airflow is not something you will feel. Eighteen percent of air speed is, on wet leaves stuck to a driveway — which is the case where speed, not volume, does the work. What separates these blowers in practice is weight, noise and runtime, not the headline CFM.
EGO: the most air, the lightest tool, the shortest turbo
Seven hundred and sixty-five CFM and 200 MPH, at 4.6 lb without a battery — the lightest bare tool here by a pound. The variable range (260 to 580 CFM) is published as numbers rather than as a dial position, which is unusual and useful.
The runtime disclosure is the most honest in the group: 15 minutes on turbo against 150 on low, from the same 5.0Ah pack. That tenfold spread is the single most important fact about cordless blowers, and EGO publishes both ends of it — see blower runtime by mode.

Ryobi: the quiet one, with the speed tips
Fifty-seven decibels published, against EGO's 64 and a Greenworks figure that does not exist. On a suburban Saturday morning that is the number that decides whether you can use the tool at 8am.
Three speed tips — 160, 175 and 190 MPH — is a different approach to control than a variable dial: the nozzle sets the speed rather than the trigger. Two 40V 4.0Ah packs (320Wh) run 30 minutes on high or 120 on low.
It is also the heaviest here at 9.4 lb, which is more than double the EGO's bare weight. Noise and weight pull in opposite directions on this page.

Greenworks: light, warranted, and quiet about noise
Seven hundred and thirty CFM at 5.5 lb tool-only, up to 60 minutes on low from an 80V 2.5Ah pack, a 40 minute recharge and a four-year warranty — the only warranty here that covers four years on the tool.
What it does not publish is a decibel rating, and in a category where two rivals do, the absence is conspicuous. Its 170 MPH is also the lowest air speed of the three, which matters on wet, matted debris.

Buy the platform, not the blower
What we cannot tell you
We have not run these blowers side by side. Greenworks publishes no decibel figure and no variable range; Ryobi publishes no warranty term on its product page; EGO publishes no battery weight, so no combined weight on this page is complete. None of the three publishes the distance or measurement standard behind its decibel or airflow figures, which means the numbers are comparable only in the loosest sense — they are each manufacturer claims measured in undisclosed conditions.

280Wh (56V x 5.0Ah) over the published 15-minute turbo runtime = about 18.7Wh per minute. On low, 280Wh over 150 minutes is about 1.9Wh/min -- turbo costs roughly 10x the energy per minute.
What the numbers favor
- Highest published CFM and MPH of any handheld here
- Publishes BOTH turbo and low runtimes, so the trade-off is visible instead of averaged away
- 4.6 lb bare -- the lightest published weight of the handhelds on this page
What they don't
- 15 minutes of turbo on a 5.0Ah pack is the real constraint, whatever the 90-minute average says
- Sold bare in most configurations; budget for a battery and charger

Decibels are logarithmic: a 7 dB drop is roughly a 5x reduction in sound intensity, and is perceived as roughly half as loud. Both figures are manufacturer-published under their own test conditions, so treat the gap as directional, not lab-comparable.
